Jamshedpur, March 17: The Jamshedpur division of Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB) is looking forward to collecting arrears around Rs 12 crore from commercial and domestic consumers through the one-time settlement (OTS) scheme that was introduced this month.
The state has assured industrialists that it would look into their power problems. Industry department secretary N.N. Sinha has also told traders and businessmen that the department would act as a mediator between them and officials of Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB).

The highest revenue earning area board of JSEB, Jamshedpur, is set to record a steep fall in its collection this month, courtesy the power crisis. The area board is registering losses to the tune of Rs 50 lakh daily due to the crisis. The monthly revenue collection of JSEB from industrial and domestic consumers (in Jamshedpur area board) is about Rs 30 crore.
