Chief Secretary Avani Vaish has instructed at a meeting at Jabalpur to give special priority to the construction of rural roads and buildings of schools and Anganwadis in the districts covered by Integrated Action Plan (I.A.P). The Chief Secretary was reviewing development works of Balaghat, Mandla, Seoni, Dindori, Umaria, Anuppur, Sidhi, Shahdol and Singrauli districts. At the meeting, he also apprised himself of the law & order situation in these districts.

The Bio-diversity Board has got the work of documentation of vegetation in Vindhya eco-region done through a project run by Government Model Science College, Rewa after conducting a survey of medicinal plants.
In all, 850 species of plants were inspected in Rewa, Satna, Sidhi, Shahdol, Umaria and Anuppur districts of the Vindhya eco-region. Out of these, 286 species are of medicinal importance. Documentation of local Vaidyas and use of medicinal plants by them has also been documented.

Indore is the only division in Madhya Pradesh where copious rainfall has not lashed so far. Though Indore district has come under the category of average rainfall due to recent downpour, but five out of its eight districts – Dhar, Khargone, Barwani, Jhabua, Alirajpur and Burhanpur – are under the category of less rainfall. Only Khandwa district in the division has received copious downpour, which is 35 percent more than the average.

The State Government have allocated an amount of Rs. 44 lakh 18 thousand for transportation of drinking water in four districts - Dindori, Dhar. Anuppur and Datia.
Out of the sanctioned amount, a sum of Rs. 21 lakh has been allotted to Dindori district, Rs. 10 lakh to Dhar district, Rs. seven lakh to Anuppur district and Rs. six lakh 18 thousand to Datia district.

Minister for Panchayats and Rural Development and Social Justice Gopal Bhargava said that Rs 625 crore has been allocated to 26 districts of the State for providing employment. He said that so far, savings accounts of over 66 lakh job card holders have been opened in banks and post offices.
