With the submergence of thousands of villages in nine districts in Bihar appearing inevitable due to an alarming rise in the water levels of the Sone and the Ganga, chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday conducted an aerial survey to oversee the preparations for evacuation and relief distribution.

Fisheries Minister Ajay Vishnoi has said that every possible effort will be undertaken by the state government for the economic uplift of fishermen, who are also being covered under collective insurance scheme with a view to protecting their future.

Water Resources Minister Shri Jayant Malaiya chaired a meeting today with MLAs from Rewa division. Veterinary and Fisheries Minister and in-charge Minister Shri Ajay Vishnoi, principal secretary water resources Shri R. S. Julania and all MLAs of the area attended the meeting.
