The proposed eastern circuit bench of the national green tribunal may be shifted from the city as the state government has failed to provide as little as 5,000sq ft of space despite the Centre’s repeated reminders.
The tribunal, constituted in October 2010 after the national green tribunal act was passed in Parliament, has its headquarters in Delhi. The regional circuit benches have been planned in Pune, Bhopal, Chennai and Calcutta.
