SHILLONG, Dec 29 – The Union Ministry of Development of North East Region (DoNER) has initiated the Climate Change Adaptation North Easter Region (CCANER) Project in partnership with the German Development Cooperation and the State Governments of Meghalaya, Nagaland and Sikkim to strengthen the rural livelihood resilience and also to teach adaptability to the impacts of climate variability and change.
The German Development Cooperation would focus on capacity development of the people, institutions, and organizations of these three North East States, an official source said.
