DURGAPUR, 29 APRIL: The artisan’s fair at Durgapur Haat, which was scheduled to be held from 2 May 2012, has been postponed till after the Durga Puja due to lack of footfall resulting from the intense heat wave. The haat, the first of its kind in the state, was inaugurated by chief minister Mamata Banerjee on 13 April last year.

BHUBANESWAR: Even as the State Government is yet to recover from the multi-crore linkage-coal scam, the Directorate of Industries has recommended allocation of two lakh tonne subsidised coal in favour of the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) for distribution among coal-consuming micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

The Directorate made the recommendation to the Government without assessing the annual requirement of the MSMEs of the nine districts for which NSIC is the nodal agency for distribution.

The present study tries to explore the factors that influence the growth, performance, and development of IPR attitude of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing sector of Punjab. The aim of the present research is to examine the technology management strategies of manufacturing SMEs, primarily on the basis of use-based classification.

When the small and medium-scale industries relocated to Konkan from Nashik, Thane, Pune and Belapur, they were not prepared to incur losses.
Two years ago, the state drew up a policy to decongest the Nashik, Thane and Pune corridor by giving incentives such as cheap land and labour to small and medium-scale industries to relocate their units to MIDC in Konkan region.
