Ranthambhore to make more room for tigers
In an attempt to create more space for tigers in Ranthambhore national park, the forest department has started an ambitious drive of reclaiming 1,000sq km land from the locals.
Once the process is complete, the national park in Ranthambhore will have three times more space for the wild cats than its current span.

Tiger attack incident takes a new turn

JAIPUR: The much talked about incident of a tiger attacking a forest range officer on the outskirts of Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan's Sawai Madhopur area this past Friday has taken a bizarre turn now with the authorities filing cases against 19 villagers and Dharmendra Khandal, a conservationist from the NGO, Tiger Watch.

Tiger attacks forest ranger in Ranthambore

Jaipur: The Ranthambore Tiger Reserve saw another attack on a human by a big cat on Friday — the fourth one in four months. The victim was a 50-year-old forest ranger Daulat Singh Shaktawat, who was seriously injured and had to be airlifted to Jaipur for treatment.
Last Tuesday, a tiger had 22-year-old Hemraj Gujjar at Gopalpur village.
