Order of the National Green Tribunal (Western Zone Bench, Pune) in the matter of Santosh Daundkar Vrs. Secretary, MoEF, New Delhi & Others dated 23/03/2017. The present Application has been filed to seek shutting down of the manufacturing plant of Indian Rayon on the banks of Devaka River at Junagadh-Veravel, District Gir Somnath, Gujarat on the ground that the manufacturing activity of the Industry generates toxic effluents as well as emits foul odour, and the company is discharging heavy amount of hazardous chemicals in Arabian sea and Devaka river.

NGT directs GPCB to place before the Court all the visit reports from the date of initiation of the present proceedings in August 2015 onwards till date.
