Commissioner's report in the matter of Umashankar Pawa Vs Union of India & Others dated 23/04/2018 regarding constructions at Yamuna floodplain, Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

NGT in its Order dated 16th March 2018 had asked for an inspection report in respect of the property of M/s Kalyani Build Well Private Limited situated at Agra, U.P with the direction to inspect and submit a report that whether the structure is within the high flood line or not. The Report concludes that "Patently seen the project appears to be outside the flood plain line of River Yamuna however when seen latently and at micro level since the project is too close to the flood plain line" it would be in the interest of things if the Irrigation Department and other authorities are directed to fix pillars at a distance of 10 meters between RU-36 & RU- 37 by removing any debris/ malba/structure created over the period of time. This would give a correct and exact picture of the flood plain line of River Yamuna vis-à-vis the project M/s Kalyani Buildwell Pvt. Ltd.
