Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Suman Sen Vs. The West Bengal Pollution Control Board & Others dated 18/09/2018 regarding operation of two brickfields in North 24 Pargnas without necessary Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate both under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. As well as clearance also from the Central Ground Water Authority.

National Green Tribunal notes that the two brickfields had been issued closure orders in 2016 and were also directed to pay environmental compensation of Rs. 1.50 lakhs for having operating the brickfields without obtaining Consent to Establish and Consent to Operate. But the brickfields are continuing to operate. NGT directs the two brickfields to be closed and they have to "pay environmental compensation of Rs. 1 lakh each per month of its illegal operation until the date of its closure."
