Action taken report of Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) in compliance of National Green Tribunal order dated October 31, 2019 on M/s. Kisan Agro Feed, Kothapally, Yacharam, Rangareddy District. The TSPCB had received a complaint on pollution caused by the industry and that the unit was producing oil illegally by using animal dead bodies and its meat as main raw material and mixing the same in edible oils.

The committee stated that the industry had provided control systems at various odour generating locations like suction hood, scrubber, bio filters. However, odour was observed in the production block and within the industry premises. The committee visited the Kothapally village and no odour was observed within the village. The report further said that the industry was using raw material (buffalo waste) generated from slaughter houses located within Hyderabad city and not using dead animals as raw material. The TSPCB noted that the industry was exceeding the standrds prescribed by the Board for outlet of ETP and recommended closure order to the industry for not meeting the standards prescribed.
