The main concerns related to deteriorating water quality and declining human health, the advantages of compact and efficient decentralized wastewater treatment and the restoration of small urban water bodies are addressed

A Task Force on Conservation of Bustards Species in India was constituted by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India to look into the issues of conservation of Bustard and Florican species in India and to prepare Action Plan for the conservation of Bustard species. The Task Force, based upon the Workshop held on 1-2 November 2011 for developing guidelines for the recovery programmes of bustard species has submitted draft guidelines for Species Recovery Programme of Bengal Florican to the Ministry.

The Lokpal Bill, 2011 was introduced in the Lok Sabha on 4th August, 2011.
