SHILLONG: The government of Meghalaya is making efforts to overcome the problems of disposal of garbage.

In this regard, the State Government has decided to use the latest technology to covert the garbage and other forms of wastes into electricity. Recently the State Government has floated an expression on interest for taking a pilot project on the Public Private Participation (PPP) mode for disposal of garbage and other forms of wastes in Shillong.
