The Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) and several other organizations opposing the construction of a mega dam over river Subansiri in Gerukamukh have set December 16, as deadline before NHPC to return the turbine it had brought up to North Lakhimpur or else they would face a mass blockade of supplies.

This was stated by Akhil Gogoi, leader of the KMSS, along with leaders of other agitating organizations in a joint press meet in North Lakhimpur today.
