NEW DELHI, 2 OCT: A network of mass transport systems is imperative to avert urban vehicular traffic as the number of cities with more than 10 lakh people will increase from 48 to 68 in the next two decades, according to a study released by the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, here today. So the government should move quickly to establish the Metro as the best mass transport means in urbanising India as a policy, it said.
