Mumbaikars apathetic to cleanliness of city, shows survey
It needed a survey to confirm what we’ve known for long — that we’re too apathetic to Mumbai’s cleanliness. BSc Biotechnology students of the Thakur College have found that although citizens in the city are aware of issues dogging the environment, they lack either the motivation to join an eco-campaign or the ability to sustain it in the long run.
The survey found that most of the 500 adults from Thakur Village in Kandivli (E), one of the most plush areas in the city, were willing to participate in environmental awareness drives, but only 5% of them showed up.
