JAIPUR: The entry and exit of vehicles at the multi-storey underground parking at Ramlila ground is proposed from the Ramniwas Bagh by interconnecting both parking spaces of the two areas.

"To reduce traffic problems and utilise space, suggestion has been made to interconnect both the parking and allow entry and exit of vehicles from Ramniwas Bagh," Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) director (town planning) N K Khare said.

The project titled “Municipal Solid Waste Management in Jaipur: Current Status and Way Forward” is to be done under RSPCB to understand the current situation of MSWM in the Jaipur city and also to identify the possible ways to improve the management of MSW so that a burden can be converted into a profit oriented business i.e. to recover energy from the waste. MSWM is basically a six stage process: generation, segregation, collection, storage, transportation and disposal. On the basis of these six stages the project also moved to get a more grasp on the MSWM.

The report is organized into three major sections. A detailed analysis of migration and settlement patterns in Jaipur’s urban and peri-urban areas is discussed first, to provide context to the overall water supply situation. This section concludes with a brief summary of the major implications of migration for Jaipur’s urbanization process with particular focus on the implications for growth in peri-urban areas. JAIPUR: Around 5,000 farmers opposing the ring road project under the banner of Ring Road Sangarsh Samiti completed the 47 km kilometre march on Sunday at Balawala village on Sunday.

The march was started after JDA along with Sanjosh Supreme started the work from Nevta Dadiya village on Wednesday.

Jaipur: The Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) is gearing up for the land acquisition process for launching housing schemes in the city. The authority is also trying to give a push to the biggest housing scheme in the city at Nider which was facing problem on land acquisition since long.

To launch the Anand Lok extension at Sikar Road, the JDA is in a process to acquire around 50 hectare lands. An official said the authorities have only to start the process of issuing notices under Section 6 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1984.

In his order during the hearing of the case, Justice M N Bhandari has directed the principal secretaries of forest, revenue, public health and irrigation, water resources, panchayati raj and mining departments and the Jaipur Development Authority commissioner to be present in court on December 1.

JAIPUR: To quicken the pace of the already delayed Durgapura elevated road project, the Jaipur Development Authority has decided to provide assistance to the companies assigned as they are facing financial debt resulting in slow pace of work.

Neeraj Cement Structural Ltd and ARSS Infrastructure Project Ltd have taken up the elevated road and the JDA too had pushed back the deadline thrice. However, the project is still being delayed due to insufficient funds available with the companies.
